Navarre Beach 2014

There's something so magical about the ocean.  I love it. I love the smell, the sound, the wind, and the salt! I love that you can look out at the water, and it has no end. After going to North Carolina beaches for so long, I sorta became a beach snob.  I love the lighthouses and the wild horses.  Nothing in Florida could ever compare. That is until a friend told us about Navarre Beach.

It was SO wonderful, that we booked again for next summer on our way out of Florida this summer.  The trip was so perfect, and some of our best friends actually had booked there for the same week.  They were literally a few floors up from us, and our kids all played, swam and ate popsicles.  It was dreamy in every way.  The key lime pie was undeniably the best I've ever eaten. Oysters with melted parmesan cheese and lemon wedges is my favorite food ever.

This is Wyatt with his best friend, Ava.  We stopped to see the big ship on the way to the beach.

Pajamas on the beach while catching crabs is awesome in every way!

Star gazing with daddy makes for the best night ever!

Beach trips with best friends is just too much fun!

Dad and Kohen played in the water for hours...which ended in Dad having a major ear infection and a burst ear drum (so NOT fun!)

Sea shells!

Surf dude!

Wyatt and his other best buddy (baby!) Liza.  He loves her so much.

This kid melts my heart into a puddle!

Sand=hours of entertainment!

Watching the waves!

We saw dolphins and sharks and fish and turtles, oh my!

See you again soon, Navarre!  The Johnson family LOVES you!

Beaver Lake Vacation with Many

We love these boys beyond belief. The big one in the middle is smart, kind, brave, and so loving to the other two.  My boys really think he's their brother...who happens to be from Africa!

We rented a lake house this summer and my boys were in heaven.  We tubed and ate and played and tubed and ate!  It was wonderful to spend time with my guys.

Mid-week, we drove to Branson and met up with one of Kohen's best buddy.  They all had a blast, and Amanuel rode roller coasters.  I just wish I had it on video.  His "I'm going die!" face will forever be in my mind!

This face too...not the best picture but the banana split we ordered for Amanuel was just unbelievable!

Tubing with my babies...priceless! I wish every week was vacation time!  I've decided I really really love vacation!

Shirts and Skins

This summer, Kohen went to football camp, and I have to say...it was hilarious. Just look at these pictures...

Shirts vs. Skins...all 46 pounds of him

Little siblings cheering for their brothers.

Hot, sweaty, and probably lost a pound of sweat, but he's the cutest SKIN I've ever seen.

An Angus Barn Birthday

Waaaay back in July, we celebrated Kyle's birthday.  It was wonderful.  It really was one of my favorite parties of all time, if not THE favorite.  The boys helped me to turn our movie room into The Angus Barn.  All of our Carolina friends know about this restaurant, and I still dream about this place.  It is the most amazing steak restaurant I've ever been too. It was our "special" restaurant, the one we went to to celebrate big events...baby announcements, graduations, you name it.

We had a sign and made all of Kyle's Angus Barn favorites.  It was a wonderful evening, and the boys LOVED being the waiters and the source of entertainment.

Every birthday in our house includes silly string.

The boys played music, and were truly a source of entertainment :)

And, 30 seconds in, Wyatt stripped off his white shirt and tie to dance.  He's too much sometimes :)

A big birthday hug!

Ice cream cake was Kyle's request this year.  I have to admit that it was amazing!

We love birthday, but I'm especially thankful that Kyle was born!  We love you so much!

Bike Crash and Firemen

Wyatt took a horrible fall this summer.  It literally broke my heart, but he healed up just fine, and all is good. We ride our bikes often, and it is my favorite activity to do with our little family.  After this fall, I was sure Wyatt would never want to ride bikes again.  He did.  He asks every single day to go for a ride.

This is Marley. She has grown at such a pace that she surpassed my boys, and they now call her their "big sister!"  They love her, and I'm so grateful she made the cut...the puppy stage about threw me over the edge!  Wyatt loves her, and loves spraying the hose with/AT her.  She loves it too!  He's my little firemen.  When I light up the fire pit, he loves putting the fire out when we are done.

Kohen's First Day of 1rst Grade

This precious boy is 6 and in first grade...how can that be?  His little brother misses him. I miss him. Marley misses him, and his dad rushes home at night to hear all about his day.

We love you to the moon, sweet boy!

I'm so in love with these guys!

Wyatt is ready for some football!

This is a big year for my sweet Wyatt. He turned 4, and this year, he gets to be part of the flag football team that Kyle coaches.  Ya'll, he's so excited that he can't stand it.  Last year, he was Kyle's "assistant coach" and maybe you remember that he ran around with a whistle, blowing it CONSTANTLY!

He couldn't wait to play football with his big brother, and they are even on the same team.  I'm not sure what Kohen thinks about it, but Wyatt thinks he's big and strong and super-fast, and he's going to score all the touchdowns!  Kohen just rolls his eyes :)

GO Tigers!!!

First Days of School...again.

Where have we been?!  I don't even understand it, but a friend of mine told me she was busier when her kids were in school, and I thought she was crazy.  Could life get any crazier than when are babies are real babies?

I believe her now.  I have lots and lots of posts and pictures from this summer, and I will catch up (at least that is what I'm telling myself!) We had an amazing summer...beach trips, lake trips, Silver Dollar City, and several adventures.  I promise you'll be sick of the posts soon enough.

To begin, here are my 3 favorite people in the world!
Happy first day of first grade and PreK4 to my sweet boys!

Soccer Finale

Soccer was fun. Yes, I can absolutely say that it was a great experience this year!

Wyatt is a trooper. He didn't love playing soccer, but he didn't quit…except when he needed to adjust his shoes, his socks, his shorts…cracks me up!

Kyle did a great job coaching, and Wyatt was so proud that his daddy was the coach. I don't know how Kyle will ever get out of this coaching business :)

This daddy loves his boy so much.  Makes my heart so proud!

When Wyatt's game is over, we always find a dirt pile and a group of buddies to dig with. They were occupied and dirt washes off :)

Kohen LOVED soccer this year, and he was my little super star.
He had to spend a few moments making someone laugh.

And, if you can teach your buddy to make toot noises with your hands, why not?!

I'm so thankful that my boys enjoyed soccer this time around!
